As we complete the 2006 season, we are now looking for
new sponsors to partner with us to compete in the 2007 season.
The costs of running an offshore powerboat racing team
start with the logistics. We expect to race in 7 European venues in 2007 and
transporting the boat, spares, pit crew, mechanics and of course the race
crew intact and on time to each Grand Prix is vital. Additional cost include
insurance, race entry fees, fuel, oil, servicing and spare parts.
The boat runs on two Mercury HP525 EFI outboard
engines that consume approximately 40 gallons per hour per engine. With a
650 litre fuel tank, filling up costs
about £450.The engines are state of the art, fully computer controlled
injection engines, with each 8.2 litre engine generating 525 horse power,
with dry sump racing gear boxes. Replacing one of these babies could cost
up to £30,000!
Imagine the rush from watching a 1,000hp American
Muscle boat
with your company logo crossing the finishing line first . . . Awesome!
